Winter Skin-care for kids – Natural remedies

Winter is almost here, or at least the chilly winters are! Depending on the region, Indian winters can be anything from “just cool” to “oh-so-cold.” Regardless of where you are from, the winter is not very kind to your skin. Your skin may become dry and flaky and appear as dull as a pale, grey winter morning as a result of the dry weather.

Here is a list of some natural wintertime skin care solutions. These straightforward treatments can give your skin that Instagram-filter glow from the inside out!

1.Malai,Milk & Rosewater

This is great for extremely dry skin. Use it once a week. Mix fresh malai/fresh cream, little milk, and rose water.

Massage and apply it like lotion and wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water.

2. Coconut oil

This is my favorite for skin and hair throughout the year.

I recommend cold-pressed coconut oil mostly to all kids and adults as it is mild. It is great for rashes too.

Best time to use it is before or after a bath..

3. Rose Water & Glycerin

Mix rose water and glycerin in 2:1 proportions and store them in a bottle. Works like magic on the skin and lips.

Use it after a bath or before bedtime.

It is great for kids who are sensitive to store-bought lotions.

Also you can increase the rose water proportion if the mix feels too sticky.

4. For Chapped Lips Try these

Ghee: Take a drop or 2 of homemade or good-quality Ghee and apply it on the lips once your child sleeps. Put a drop or 2 in the navel as well.

Malai: This is my favorite. Fresh malai can be applied in a thick quote on the lips once the child is asleep.

Almond Oil: This also works very well for chapped lips!

Please patch test before you apply all over as kids can be sensitive to certain ingredients

5. Almond oil

Rich in Vitamin E and great for intense nourishment.

Cold-pressed organic almond oil is great for skin and hair.

Apply it during bedtime for babies and help them sleep well!

Pro Tip: Put 2 drops in the Navel after bath and it naturally keeps the entire body nourished.

6. Yoghurt

Yoghurt contains lactic acid that helps dissolve dead skin cells, an essential function required for moisture to penetrate the skin.

It also firms the skin and moisturizes it; just the antidote for dry and dull skin!

You can mix it with a few drops of honey and lemon juice, and apply it on your face as a pack, washing it off after 15 to 20 minutes.
